What MaybeSend does

• Single purpose

  MaybeSend coaches a draft you are already writing. It scores AI slop and can rewrite the text. It does not post, scrape your feed, read the rest of the page, or collect browsing history.

• Check

  Press Check. You get Send, Fix, or Don't, plus four meters: slop, hit, quality, and risk. Check runs only when you press the button (or if you turn on auto-check after a pause). It does not fire on every keystroke. Auto-check is off by default because each Check spends quota.

• Humanize

  If slop is high, Humanize rewrites launch copy without adding names, numbers, links, or thanks that were not in the draft. Use this inserts the rewrite. You still press Post. If the hook is weak but the draft is not slop, Takes offers ranked alternatives.

• Spelling, grammar, language

  Spelling uses the browser's own checker and costs nothing. Grammar notes appear after Check, locally. Language is detected on device. Humanize stays in that language and does not translate.

• Where it sits

  On by default: X, LinkedIn, and Reddit. Anywhere else is off until you turn it on in your MaybeSend account (the gear in the panel opens that page) and click the MaybeSend icon in Chrome so it can ask for extra sites. You have to sign in or create an account to change it. Payment, password, and store checkout fields never get the panel, even if anywhere else is on. Drafts still leave the browser only when you press Check or Humanize.

• What never ships in Chrome

  No provider keys, payment secrets, or admin tokens. The extension talks only to api.maybesend.com (or a local API you set for development). A random device id and optional session live in chrome.storage.local, not Chrome sync.

• Permissions

  storage saves settings on this browser. offscreen switches the toolbar icon for light and dark Chrome. scripting registers the panel on extra sites only after you turn on anywhere else and grant access. Host access to api.maybesend.com sends Check and Humanize. Content scripts on X, LinkedIn, and Reddit sit on the compose box, including LinkedIn and Reddit iframes. Extra sites are optional. Optional localhost access is only for developers pointing the API at their machine.

• Limits

  Trial: 3 days, 30 checks, 10 humanizes, 50,000 tokens. Pro: 200 checks and 60 humanizes per 30 days, with a 1,000,000 token budget. API volume: 1,000 checks and 300 humanizes per 30 days. The API also rate-limits per device and per IP so keys cannot be burned by rotating installs. Repeat Checks of the same draft are cached briefly so you are not billed twice.

• Account and billing

  Sign in at maybesend.com/account to keep quota across browsers. Pro is $4 / month plus tax, or $3 / month plus tax billed annually. Payments go through Stripe. We do not see your card number.

• Privacy
